Granville
This lively seaside resort is known for its July Carnival and for being the birthplace of Christian Dior, but Granville is also a busy port with an active fishing fleet and a pleasure boat harbour. The Upper Town, still encircled by its ramparts, retains all the atmosphere of a fortified town, whereas the Lower Town is the business and tourist resort area. The magnificent beaches to the south of the town extend as far as Carolles

Granville lies on the SW coast of the Department of Manche.
