Excellent Fishing may be enjoyed in the Sélune Lakes or nearby Rivers

The quiet waters of "Le Lac du Vezins" and "Le Lac de la Roche qui Boit" are both ideal for fishing. There are carp, trout, roach and perch in the Lakes, just to name a few. The hydro-electric dams are a barrier to migrating fish but, in the lower reaches of the Sélune and its principal tributaries (le Beuvron and l'Oir), the skilful fisherman can hope to catch atlantic salmon, sea-trout, marine lamprey and eels. These waters also contain pike, pike-perch, chub, bleak, loach, freshwater lamprey and gudgeon.

Sea-fishing is also available in the area. The ports of Granville and St.Malo offer harbour walls and/or small boats (with crew) which can be hired by individual anglers or groups. Local waters abound with mackerel, whiting, pollock, conger-eel, bass and sea-bream. There are even dolphins in the Bay of Mont St.Michel, but not to catch!
